The Lafayette County Collector's office observes state holidays.

A County-wide elected office with a four year term, the Collector's position is held by Lori Fiegenbaum. Lori has been the County Collector since March 1, 2003.

The Lafayette County Collector of Revenue is the elected official responsible for collecting current and delinquent real and personal property taxes for the county, and various political subdivisions within the county, which have authorized property levies.

The Collector is responsible for the accounting and distribution of collections to tax entities such as schools, library, and fire districts. The Collector also collects merchant license fees.

Office InformationLafayette County tax statements are mailed each year in early November. Please inspect your statements and verify that the information is correct. If you have not received your tax statements by Thanksgiving, please contact our office. All tax statements are due upon receipt and become delinquent after December 31st. Payments MUST be postmarked no later than December 31st to avoid penalties. Payments postmarked after December 31st will be returned, unprocessed, unless late fees are included. All statements may be paid with one check. We cannot accept incorrect or partial payments. Payments may be made in the office with cash, personal check, credit card, or money order.
